Here at UKAA we take great pride in our British Made (Cannock Wood, Staffordshire to be precise) bespoke range of made to measure tables, kitchen worktops and benches . We specialise in natural copper and zinc table tops and bespoke reclaimed timber finishes. We work intimately with our client’s needs to hand build the very best product to your exacting requirements. At UKAA we love the little details; such as our table tops are easily removable for getting through awkward narrow spaces and the fact each table comes with a pot of paint and/or wax for you to use as touch-up along with a polishing cloth. Alongside our tables and worktops, we have the UK’s largest stock of reclaimed Church and Chapel chairs. Our natural solid copper, brass and zinc table tops are made from full thickness sheets of the finest natural metal that is available, the metal is then wrapped over premium MDF (we have specified this to reduce movement due to temperature changes e.g. central heating, that would be caused if metal were combined with natural wood). We only use natural solid sheet metal for our bespoke tables. These metal table tops are very hardwearing, they are ideal for kitchen and dining tables or for commercial use in restaurants and bars. Unlike inferior metal plated tables (Where a thin layer of metal such as brass or zinc is applied over steel) the look of our bespoke copper, zinc and brass table tops will improve with use; there is no risk of the finish being scratched off. You can choose to have the natural metal finish or we can antique or distress the top as shown in the pictures below. At UKAA we find zinc to be a great product to work with and use, it can be found in a range of high end houses from Nigella Lawson’s kitchen to our local National Trust Shugborough Hall Butler’s pantry where the zinc work tops have been in use for hundreds of years. It improves as it ages just like a fine red wine and it looks great even after a few hundred years of use. We specified zinc in our office kitchen where it is subjected to high volumes of abuse and it looks great, the finish just keeps getting better. As a metal it stays cool so is ideal for making pastry! Our Pine Plank Tops are made from reclaimed scaffold boards and have a lovely rustic feel to them. At UKAA we use the finest reclaimed boards possible to give a superior finish.

Our Original Victorian pine floorboards have a fantastic authentic feel to them that simply cannot be replicated nor matched for sheer quality. As standard we use boards that are approximately 6 5/8” wide x 7/8” thick, however we often have the much rarer wider and thicker boards in stock so please do give us a call if you are after something a little different. As a great alternative to our reclaimed Church chairs we can build a bench bespoke to your needs, they are made from reclaimed wood to your specification and we can even match it to your UKAA table if you so desire We primarily make four different designs made from planks or reclaimed floorboards (as seen in the pictures below), but as always if you would like something a little different then please do not hesitate to call UKAA and we will do our best to build you a bench that fits your needs and requirements. Our kitchen worktops that we lovingly produce here at UKAA have a copper, brass or zinc tops that are either finished in natural (bare metal), antiqued or distressed finish as shown in the pictures below. We use full thickness premium copper, brass or zinc and wrap it securely over MDF (we have specified this as it does not move when subjected to temperature changes e.g. central heating etc. unlike if we used solid wood). They are truly an exquisite addition to your kitchen and a great talking point when entertaining! As fashionable as they currently are (as found in Nigella Lawson’s kitchen), they are actually a long lasting and hard wearing material used for kitchens (you can see a great example of a zinc worktop at our local National Trust Shugborough Hall’s Butler’s pantry). We find that the copper, brass and zinc improves with age, we have a zinc worktop in our office kitchen, which is used every day and it looks even better than the day we had it fitted! Oh and an added benefit is that as it is cool to the touch, making it great for pastry!
