Here at UKAA we have just finished refurbishing a lovely shepherd's hut ready to go on sale, we have painted the exterior in Farrow & Ball studio green and the interior has been painted in lime white.
The shepherd's hut was a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, sitting room and storeroom all rolled into one, the designs vary, but all were constructed to provide the shepherd with practical and durable accommodation.
These old huts had a stove in one corner for warmth and cooking, and a window on each side so the shepherd could see the flock.
A hinged stable door, which was always positioned away from the prevailing wind, enabled him to hear the flock, and strong axles with cast iron wheels were used to withstand the constant movement from field to field.

Here at our reclamation yard in Cannock Wood, we have a large selection of original antique reclaimed and salvaged gates and railings.

Here at UKAA we have just received a spiral staircase in to be refurbished ready to put up for sale.
The spirals are both decorative and practical as they are perfect for loft conversions and are ideal space savers, they are also very popular for their style and character.
