A superbly crafted escutcheon in Solid Ebony – Solid Ebony has been long regarded as one of the finest and most decorative hardwoods, which polishes to a superb lusterous finish and is excellent for achieving fine detail when turned.
The Escutcheon is a faithful copy of the original.
Small hairline shakes in the timber are a feature of solid ebony.

The Solid Ebony that is used in the manufacture of this range of furniture has been microscopically examined by a Doctor at Kew Gardens in Surrey, he says "it matches our reference material Diospyros s. Ebony."
