  • Totally original salvaged cast iron gates and posts
  • Reclaimed from The West Lodge in Marlow Bucks
  • The gate posts are dated AD 1887 - AD is on the left and 1887 is on the right hand post
  • The cast iron cherubs have faces from both sides of the gates - the gates look excellent from either side
  • The bottom hinges are included - these are just concreted into the ground - alternatively the bottom of the gates will fit straight into your electric opener
  • The overall width is 12ft 6" wide (381cm)
  • The gates are 94" tall (just under 8ft) (234cm)
  • The opening when the gates are opened is 115½" (293cm)
  • The posts are 12" square at the base
  • The maker of the posts is W E James Daventry
  • The main photograph is taken from a platform above the gates with the gates flat on the ground
  • The posts will sit 27" into the ground
  • The gates and posts have been sandblasted - primered and two coats of black gloss have been applied
