French M1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet With Scabbard
A lovely example with original scabbard.
This model was manufactured and used with several rifles but it was initially designed for the M1866 Chassepot rifle.
Made in December 1868 at the French State Arsenal, Manufacture Imperiale de Tulle, as can be seen etched on the edge of the blade.
A small dent on the scabbard - Please see photos.
This measures: 28" Long.
