Victorian 2 Column Cast Iron Radiators

2 column cast iron radiators, also known as Victorian cast iron radiators and school radiators, are a traditional style Victorian radiator, first produced in America in the 1880s. Today, the simple design gives a contemporary feel, especially when hand burnished.

Victorian cast iron radiator specs

Carron Victorian cast iron radiators are one of the most popular of Carron’s radiator styles, due to their slim shape and depth of just 70mm, which makes them great for fitting into small spaces in your home.

At 615mm tall, Victorian cast iron radiators have clean lines and square edges, making them perfect for modern, contemporary spaces. They also give out a good heat output of 120 BTUs per section based on Delta 60, making column radiators very cost effective.

Victorian cast iron radiator design

We can paint our Carron Victorian cast iron radiators in a colour and paint brand of your choice.

Our range of standard colours includes: Vellum, Buttermilk, Parchment white, French Grey, Satin Black, Graphite Grey, Foundry Grey, Hammered Gold, Ancient Breeze, Willow Green, and Hammered Bronze.

The sections of the 2 Column cast iron radiators are first primed, and then painted in loose sections before being built and pressure tested. All 2 column cast iron radiators then have at least two top coats applied.

We also have the following luxury finishes available: Hand burnished, Highlight, Satin finish, Antiqued finish and Antiqued Copper.

Victorian cast iron radiator extras

Add a traditional style radiator valve in either thermostatic or manual to your Victorian cast iron radiator to really take it back to the Victorian period. Wall stays are also recommended to keep your radiator safe and secure, and are available in front or rear mounted variations.
