• An excellent quality brass, steel and wrought iron polychrome Antique Victorian coronae or chandelier.
• Made in the Gothic Revival or Arts and Crafts style originally designed for the historically important Grey Friars Church in Reading, England.
• The Victorian restoration which began in 1863 gave new life to this fascinating survivor of Christian architecture and these light fittings date from the latter part of the 19th Century .
• Hung from a sturdy brass gimble and crown and suspended on well worked gothic chains the main pierced steel body of these light fittings rests perfectly balanced in proportion to the elongated brass arms, cleverly supported by the serpentine wrought iron extension that forms part of the iron and brass knopped floral decoration.
• These measure: 63" Diameter x 45" Tall.
• Each chandelier comes with 10ft of chain.
• Originally these were used with gas, but have been converted and were fully working in the church with GU10 bulbs.
• The wiring has now been removed, ready for your electrician to install.
• We have labelled these A to F. Please let us know which one(s) you would like.
