Boulton and Paul Summer House: Sold Prior to being advertised!

This week we have sold this lovely and very rare Boulton and Paul revolving Summer House, the Summer House was sold prior to being advertised!

The team at UKAA were in the middle of the Summer Houses refurbishment when we have an enquiry via our website and the rest is history.

The Summer House, circa 1920 sits on its original wrought iron wheeled base and can be turned to face the sun, this light weight mechanism is designed to be easily rotated with very little force.

We have kept as much of the original Summer House as possible, we have just re-felted the roof and the lead edge. The Summer House is ready to paint.

Selling Quick - Reclaimed Pine Floorboards

Over the last few days we have very busy selling our Original Reclaimed Floorboards, so we felt we should let you know how we salvage, sort and store our floorboard that we feel sets us apart.

We only have in-stock floorboard that have been vigorously sorted so all nails have been removed and only the very best boards make the grade.

Before each order is dispatched we re-sort the boards and measure each by the inch with us discounting and chalking lengths that we would not be happy for you to pay for.

The floorboards that we stock vary continously, with widths usually in stock from 4 - 10" in tongue and groove and square edged. However our website is always up to date so please keep an eye out for updates.

From Sketch to Reality - UKAA's Bespoke Products

We thought it would be a nice idea to show you how easy it really is to design and have a bespoke product turned into reality by UKAA.

We work closely with our clients to make sure their needs are met throughout the design process.

In general we start off with a chat via email or telephone and get a quick sketch drawn on to paper, take a look at how simple the drawings are below.

We can sketch out a design for you, although many people send us a picture of their own.

You can see however that no matter how simple or complex the design drawing is, the resulting product in real life always blows us away.

Here are two examples of designs on paper or computer and their resulting finished products. These are of a bespoke table base of the customer's own design with a zinc top and a bespoke butchers block that we made from reclaimed timber.

UKAA Bespoke Zinc Topped Table

UKAA Bespoke Butchers Block from reclaimed timber

We have an in-house carpenter who works with a mix of traditional and modern techniques to produce the most authentic products from reclaimed timber.

Our Zinc and Copper tops are hand beaten and folded here also, with Dan being our chief table maker.

If you have a design in mind or simply want a chat of what we can build for you, please do not hesitate to call us on 01543 222923 or email us at [email protected]

Customer's Reclaimed Church Chairs

This morning we had this picture in our inbox from a customer showing their reclaimed church chairs in their beautiful home, we think you will agree they look absolutely fantastic!

Here at UKAA we have the largest collection and stock of church chairs in the UK to view and buy that have been salvaged from churches throughout the UK.

We only stock totally original chapel chairs that are of the very highest quality.

You may have noticed the "church chair" style in large retailers such as John Lewis, however we believe you cannot beat the antique construction and carpentry along with the beautiful patina and character of wear that you can only get from years and years of use.

Our Full Range of Church Chairs can be found and brought directly Here
