Reclaimed Boulton and Paul Summer House

To make the most of this fantastic weather we are currently refurbishing a Boulton and Paul Revolving Summer House.

The Summer house arrived at UKAA a couple of weeks ago and we have been working on it ever since!

We have completely refurbished the revolving mechanism so the summer house easily rotates and the floor has been made sound.

The roof has been added and the next thing we need to do is to revamp the folding doors.

The biggest question is what colour to paint the outside!

Introducing The New Members of the UKAA Team!

We would like to introduce some new members of the UKAA team.

For the summer we have borrowed a small flock of sheep from one of our local farmers.

There are 20 Ewes in the flock which are enjoying munching on the grass surrounding the yard.

As you can see from the below photograph they are very curious and not bothered by this rubbish weather at all.

They are currently supervising the lads who are refurbishing a summer house next to their field.

Tradiational Vardo: The Burton Wagon

We have just taken delivery of this amazing Burton Wagon here at UKAA.

The Burton Wagon was traditionally used by Romany, showman families and circus people.

This style of Romany Wagon was the oldest style used as a home in Britain, and due to its smaller wheels is ideal for road use.

They tend to be elaborately decorated with angel lamps, eye catching glass and vibrant paint work.

Here's a picture of Rufus the Irish terrier investigating!
