The team at UKAA have just advertised these fantastic pair of Antique Wrought Iron gates on our website.
The gates are totally original reclaimed wrought iron and would be ideal for use as a pedestrian or driveway entrance.
At UKAA we have rubbed the gates down and the painted with a primer finish, they have then had an undercoat and two coats of black gloss.
We reclaimed the gates from a Catholic Primary School in Halliwell.

Now the nights are drawing in it is the ideal time to install a Carron Fireplace.
UKAA are proud stockiest of the full Carron range of new fires, surrounds, fireplaces and tiles.
The range includes cast iron combination fireplaces, cast iron inserts, cast iron and wooden surrounds in Oak and Pine. There also is a large choice of hearths and hand painted fireplace tiles.
Carron was founded in Stirlingshire Scotland in 1760 by the Roebuck family.

At UKAA we are able to paint any of our reclaimed Church Chairs in any colour of your choice.
We are able to offer solid, distressed and shabby chic paint finishes using any brand or colour paint you require.
The image below is of six St Christopher's chairs that we have recently painted for a customer, the chairs have been painted in Farrow and Ball Wimborne white and we have left the back rail and the seat unpainted.

The team have just advertised this fantastic reclaimed double sided clock on our website.
This is a unique one off item that was made in 1950 for H Samuel's the jewellers.
The clock has its original copper hands and face fitted on both sides.

This week at UKAA we have sold two beautiful Antique Lattice Pattern Cast Iron Windows to a customer who was looking to replace two broken windows on a newly purchased house for refurbishment.
Today we received some fantastic photographs from a very happy customer showing the of their new home all completed.
We think the beautiful detailing on these windows really adds to the character of this property and makes the outside incredibly eye catching:
UKAA have just a couple of these very rare Circa 1860 Cast Iron Windows left;
The glass in these windows is in very good condition however we do also think these cast iron frames would look fantastic with mirrors in them.

We have never had these before and we are very lucky to have this many available.
All of our apertures have been rubbed down and primered ready to be painted in your colour choice;

UKAA have a fantastic selection of reclaimed Cast Iron Spiral Staircases available.
As much as stairs are very functional they can also be very decorative and an impressive part of a building and our staircases certainly are that!Spiral staircases were first created for use in towers of castles where their tight winding shape was a fantastic defence against enemies who found it extremely difficult to navigate up the staircase and were unable to storm the tower all at once instead having to travel up the stairs one by one.
These staircases are now very popular for the beauty and style that makes them a perfect conversation piece in the home or business, they are also a fantastic space saver making them perfect for a Cottage or even a loft conversion.
Less well known is the fact that the Eiffel Tower was first completed in 1889 with with only one way to reach the top; via a 1,700 step Iron Spiral Staircase:

UKAA have just received this batch of Genuine Reclaimed Quarry Tiles;
These Terracotta Tiles have a fantastic vibrant colour to them and an excellent patina.
The tiles are all very clean on the top and underneath so are ready for use in any aspect.
We think these would be fantastic used as flooring but are suitable for use in any domain. Previously customers have used our quarry tiles for fireplace/ log burner hearths in replace of the traditional granite hearth or even as detailing in their Garden.
We have hand sorted and hand cleaned each of these tiles and separated into two batches - we have a batch of near perfect tiles and a batch of 'seconds' which all have a number of chips on the face of the tile.

All of these boards are reclaimed antique pine with excellent colour and patina; we only buy in the most excellent looking boards.
Each board has been de-nailed before being dry and flat stored here at UKAA to ensure that you receive the best quality product.
With every order we individually measure each board to provide you with a full cutting list which you will receive with your boards.
