Bespoke Kitchen Dressers

Our bespoke kitchen dressers have proven very popular amongst our customers and as such we felt it was worth writing a little review to give our customers a better understanding of the UKAA approach to bespoke dressers.

At UKAA our priority is to make our customers happy and we do everything that we physically can to accomodate their needs.

It is our attention to detail that we feel sets us apart, from the reclaimed materials and strong construction methods to our flexibillity in having everything ordered and made at the point of order.

For example no part of our dresser is pre-built or turned, every part of our kitchen dressers or welsh dressers as they are often called are made at the point you place your order with us.

This includes the cutting of the certified and stamped safety glass and the pots of paint we order in just for you.

At UKAA you can be rest assured that your dresser is a one-off product hand built just for your in the UK with reclaimed pine.

Please feel free to take a look at our Bespoke Kitchen Dressers Review that has just been added to our website:

Very Rare Cast Iron and Lead Canopy from the Regency Period

UKAA are very fortunate to be able to offer for sale an original and very rare cast iron Canopy with lead roof from the Regency era - Circa 1815.

Read more about the Regency era from a wikipedia entry here: Click here for further information on the Regency era by Wikipedia

This cast iron canopy at over 8ft tall makes a stunning feature and would grace the grandest of homes.

The quality of the casting is truly exceptional with lovely detailing including: Anthemion patterning and Corinthian Capital features, as shown in the photographs below.

The cast iron lattice work strikes a very impressive pose in its natural state or it could be used as a trellis for a climbing plant to make a colourful statement in the Spring and Summer months.

The original paintwork has been kept and gives a lovely patina as shown in the photographs below.

We have managed to salvage the original lead roof and we have re-installed this onto some wood to make the roof secure.

This antique canopy is ready to be installed and would look great as part of a front entrance feature.

Please click on the following link to buy this Canopy securely online:

Shown below is Danielle standing within the antique canopy to give you a sense of its shear size:

Large batch of hand painted church chairs and stools just added!

We are very excited to announce after many weeks of hard work we have just added a lovely batch of church chairs and stools to our website.

These church chairs and stools have been hand painted by us at UKAA in Cannock Wood, Staffordshire.

There are traditional Church Chairs, Stacking Chairs, Rush Seated Chairs and various Stools available.

They have been reclaimed from churches all over the UK; Storrington Chapel, The Royal School of Bath and St Johns Church in Woking, Surrey.

First we have sugar soaped them to remove any remaining wax and varnish then hand painted them in multiple colours, often with Farrow and Ball Paint and finally we have distressed them by hand to give them a lovely charming feel to them as you can see from the photographs below.

If you would like any information about the chairs or stools, please do not hesitate to call us on 01543 222 923 or email us on info@ukaa.com

UKAA's Bespoke Zinc Tables - just delivered to our customers!

We have built and delivered quite a few Bespoke and Made to Measure Zinc Tables and Worksurfaces over the last couple of weeks so i thought it would be nice to show you a selection of the different zinc tables we can make for you, to your exact specifications.

The following tables are all Zinc in its natural bare state, however we can also distress them to Antiqued Zinc, Matt Zinc or Antiqued Distressed Zinc.

We offer different types of table top corner from the standard square to rounded corners in different sizes, as shown in the photographs below.

The edges of the table can be either a standard square table edge or a rounded "Bull Nose" (D shape in cross section), again in different sizes.

The full range and prices are shown in the UKAA Bespoke Table Review and of course you can always give us a call on 01543 222 923 or Email Us to discuss your exact requirements.

Please note that we only use full thickness Zinc that has been hand-beaten by us at UKAA in Cannock Wood, Staffordshire - we do not use zinc plated metals like other manufacturers.

Here is Danielle and Viv holding a Natural Zinc Bespoke worksurface with large Bullnose edging and corners:

New Use for Reclaimed Floorboards

Whilst out shopping in Lichfield at the weekend my wife and I happened to notice a lovely novel use for reclaimed floorboards at our local Fat Face shop.

Here at UKAA we stock a variety of floorboards including salvaged victorian boards and have sold them to customers using them for a variety of purposes.

However at Fat Face they have installed them in a truly original style: not only cladding the wall with floorboards but creating a surround for their TV and fabricating a storage unit from them!

As you can see they have left the flooboards in an un-touched state without any sanding or varnishing etc and as a result have created a lovely rustic, almost industrial look and feel that has translated to their whole shop. Oh and the TV looks pretty cool too!

As always if you want to recreate this look using the very best reclaimed and salvaged original Victorian floorboards, see the following link:
